More than 30 million tourists are believed to visit Africa every year and for different reasons. There are so many wonderful appeals that Africa holds— perhaps the most magical and mysterious continent on the planet. The Great Pyramids
If you want to see perhaps the most jaw-dropping Wonder of the Ancient World, you should head to Egypt for The Great Pyramids of Giza. This is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the last to remain intact. One of the most popular reasons for visiting Africa on holiday is for an African safari. There are so many wonderful countries that offer the complete safari experience. It’s thought that Kenya, Tanzania, and Botswana rank among the best. There are different types of safaris you might consider as well, such as a walking safari, a game drive, or even a hot air balloon safari— which is definitely on my bucket list!

The Colorful Coast
Believe it or not, it’s not just the giant pyramids and the sprawling savannahs that appeal to people who visit Africa. This continent also has a stunning coastline with remarkable beach life. One of the best places to find coastal perfection is to head to South Africa, specifically the gorgeous Cape Town— home to Table Mountain and the sensational Cape of Good Hope. There’s definitely plenty of epic coastal beauty to choose from here; it’s one of the great appeals of Africa.

The food in Africa is another amazing reason to visit, and many think it’s underrated. There are some unique and exciting local dishes found in all the different countries throughout Africa. Maybe indulge in the pap en vleis dish from South Africa, or the kapenta from Zimbabwe, or maybe the biryanis with pilaus from Zanzibar.

Kilimanjaro
A visit to Africa also means you can pit your wits against nature by scaling one of the most iconic peaks in the world, Mount Kilimanjaro. Kili is the highest mountain in Africa, and it contains three volcanic cones. There are plenty of opportunities to scale the close to 6,000 meters of the mountain. Kilimanjaro is one of the biggest reasons why you’d want to visit Africa this year if you’re an adventure seeker.

Africa is always in my bucket list and planning to visit in the next few years as flying from Asia can cost a bomb. The two most wanted to do is seeing the pyramid and the great African Safari. Cant wait.
